CELARLY not the best way to end a Monday ...

But anyway, this is SO not what you want to have on the way home from work on a crappy monday.

I got a new accessory package for my truck this afternoon.
Courtesy of a moron following too close in traffic.

The new Malibu accessory for the Silverado bumper doesn't
do much for gas mileage, but is sure as hell is stylish!

That's the moron that hit me trying to decide which way is
best to getting our two vehicles un-stuck. It took about
20 minutes and the help of another truck to disentangle
the two vehicles... Moron... On a Monday ... *facepaw*

Dented bumper, jacked up plastics, bent trailer hitch ball,
dinged tailgate - all in all nothing too major really. He
wasn't going too fast, but it was still enough to jack it
up, and while my truck isn't the newest, I do try to take
care of it - it is paid for after all. And it was a little
saddening to have Robby take one in the ass with no warning.
There should always be at least some subtle warning. And yes,
my truck's name is Robby. And Yoken's car is named Ruby.

At least Robby left a mark. :) That huge bumper hole is from
the nut on the bottom of my trailer hitch. SCORE! But what
didn't see is that about 30 seconds after taking this picture,
his bumper completely fell off. LOLz! Very National Lampoon
style. The car almost shuddered, and the bumper just plopped
off of the frame. :) I feel bad for him. I got out and he
was only about 5'5" anyway. He thought I was gonna whoop his
ass. But hey ... accidents happen and that's why we all have
insurance anyway. Not a major thing.

Although I will say this ... If you ever get hit - get hit by someone with Geico Insurance. Within about 10 minutes of calling, I was able to set up the claim and they already have me scheduled to take it in tomorrow and get the body shop working on it. AND, they're getting me a rental car to drive while I'm out of my truck. SCORE!

Ah well ... shit happens, right? No skin off my nose, and I get ANOTHER new bumper on my truck. This is bumper number 3 or 4 over the life of the truck (6 years) due to previous rear-endings. I should stop driving in bumper to bumper traffic.

Seriously, I should.

Jim

It is hard to know where to start, actually. Honestly not much has changed in my world. I'm still stuck in Memphis for the time being - going absolutely crazy. I want to out here so bad I can't stand it anymore. Each day is becoming more of a struggle to keep from just quitting my job and moving. But we can't survive without my salary.

I'm starting to hate it here, honestly. I really am. And as much as I love my job I'm at the point where I'm ready to close this chapter and start a new one.

I've been searching for a job for 6 months and have found nothing. That's what I get for not having a degree. In Atlanta, everyone has one and every job seemingly wants at least a 4 year degree. I don't have time to wait anymore. This isn't a matter of just my mate being in another city, my life is already there and I have to make this move.

I'm tired of folks telling me "it'll be ok" and "you'll find something soon". I just want to move on with my life. Before it moves on without me. And I'm so afraid that's what's going to happen.

It's been a while since I updated, but that is due to the fact that I've had two major projects on my plate - and that's not counting work projects.

The first is RCFM. That's a ginormous undertaking all by itself, made a little tougher this year without Yoken's direct help here in Memphis, but I'm getting along.

The other major project is one that I took on over 4 years ago and has grown each year. It is ALWAYS due the second Thursday of may each year, but it always seems to be a last minute-type thing.

It's a PowerPoint Presentation for my Mom. She's a 4th grade teacher at Downtown Elementary here in Memphis and they have they're final Awards Day Ceremony in May. 4 years ago, Mom asked me to throw together a presentation to show at the beginning of the ceremony using pictures that the teachers took throughout the year. Well, it has snowballed and become an expected event each year. Parents and grandparents come to see their kids, and they are expecting a fantastic PowerPoint too highlighting the year.

Needless to say it's taken on a life of it's own. This year's presentation runs 18:57 and is fully automated and timed to music. Total bitch and a half. This is the presentation for the show. It will be shown during the ceremony. However, there is also a companion presentation this year that highlights the ENTIRE year and is timed to music. It runs 70:33. Yeah. That one is going to be shown during the last Open House event and will be packaged onto CD for all of the kids to take home at the end of the year.

It's gotten so bad that the Principal now shows the presentation again each year at the summer in-service session in July - all of the teachers love it.

I LOVE doing presentations in PowerPoint. I could easily do it for a living. And I'm a perfectionist at it as well. This year's two presentations represent about 400 man-hours that I've commited to this project since starting it last September. Yep, 8 months to complete this little project. But it always comes down to the last mintue since I'm usually waiting on pictures from the teachers and staff at the school.

However, now it seems that I'm no longer doing this for the kids (which is what it started out as). Now, I'm doing it for the parents, teachers, administrators ... and the Superintendant of Schools - who will be there this Thursday for me to present it. That's the whole reason he's coming. He was invited down to see a presentation and only found out after the fact that it is sandwhiched into an Awards Ceremony.

It gets tiresome after a while - but I can't say no to my Mom. She and Dad have always been there and have made sure that my brother and I had exactly what we needed. She and Dad welcome David into the family without a thought - even though he moved in only 3 weeks after I officially came out to them. Mom's taught for 36 years and is completely and wholely dedicated to it. She loves those children like her own and the bond is stronger because she has always worked in inner-city schools with under-priviledged children.

It's the least I can do to help her make a bright spot on the history of these children. Maybe give them something to smile about.

But anyway, a little of the pressure is off - at least until September when I start all over again. :-)

*hugs* Just felt like sharing something that meant alot to me .....

Jim ~ Shiro

You have quite a big repertoire when it comes to kinky sex. And you're probably also willing to play on either side of the fence. You should look for another Blue, or an Ultraviolet if you want to broaden your horizon. Greens may be okay as well but will probably bore you after a while. Reds are too vanilla for you.

But I promised you a more detailed analysis, so here it is. Note that most scales are twofold: There are separate values for giving (active) and receiving (passive). If you scored high on one of them, you should look for a partner who scored high on the other. If you scored high on both of them, go for someone who is similar (or for multiple partners if you're into that). If you scored low on both, this probably is not your kind of kink.

You scored 76% giving and 85% receiving on oral.

You scored 100% giving and 100% receiving on anal.

You scored 38% giving and 64% receiving on bondage.

You scored 85% giving and 62% receiving on humiliation.

You scored 61% giving and 55% receiving on pain.

You scored 67% dominance and 35% submission.

You scored 54% voyeurism and 81% exhibitionism.

Besides that, you're 69% into fetishism and 76% polysexual (i.e. interested in sex with multiple partners, whether at the same time or not). You'll probably want a partner who is similar, whether you scored high or low in these categories.

Finally, you scored 57% on autoerotic - a scale that measures your ability and/or willingness to have kinky fun without a partner. It's not exactly a matching criterion, but it's good for you if your score is high. Keep it up!

Take The Kink Spectrum Analysis Test at HelloQuizzy
